Horses from rescue and non pro sales

In Loving Memory of XENA

Hi Everyone
well this week we have had a fair bit of rain but that has only been the beginning.
We had a good lesson this week and so did some of my horse friends.

The big lesson

A horses who goes to the sales is there for a reason

for all of you horses lovers who want to rescue horses, only do it if you can afford to the average costs (Agistment of $25pw;hoofcare$20pw;dentistry$10pw;feed$30 which are the basic costs are constant.-$100+pw + vet and transport costs not to mention competition, club and insurance fees.)
If you don't have spare cash and you aren't a horse trainer or therapist then these horses aren't for you.
Please remember that horses are a LUXURY item.

They aren't big dogs or kids.
they need appropriate knowledge and experience.

They are wild until they are gentle and gentle till they are wild.

Most of us are only happy with them while they are gentle

And are so offended when they treat us like another horse would or like we are enemies.

I urge true horse lovers to learn the language of the horse.

To learn about appropriate care and health issues

It is not enough to just be able to get on and steal rides.

It is our aim to truly connect and to

QLD HORSE COUNCIL

Hi Everybody

I recently presented at The QLD Horse Council
Horse Health seminar.

I was expecting a tough crowd but was pleasantly surprised to find many very enthusiastic Bare foot group of Horse Lovers.
It was an hour or so of 80 slides in a power point presentation.
The topic was very popular resulting in some very interesting discussion after the talk.

I am heading down to do some barefoot trimming at Caboulture in the next week.

I Have been having tremendous results with lots of horses and some very very happy Horse Lovers

Anyone interested in the power tool debate regarding work on horses please feel free to ask questions.

The weather up here on the (sunshine coast) has been really wet for easter.
In Fact in march we had double the average rainfall for March.
Apparently it will be wet for this month too.

thanks Grahame

If you really love horses

I have been developing my Love and Passion for horses for the last 30 years.
The first 20 years cemented that true desire to spend more time with horses.
The last 10 years have changed my life exponentially.
to be honest for the absolute betterment of me and my relationship with my horses.
My Horses and I have developed a bond.
One that exists between those who are alike
I am in awe of their size and their flawless beauty on a daily basis
I am amazed at the communication system that we have developed
together..........
For the claim from some that horses are not intellligent
The same could be said for us!
how many people do you know that you just can't communicate with?
Did you know that equus means- most like us

So what would it mean to learn the language?
learn how to communicate
how to get along more harmoniously.

For me i am in the midst of an awesome journey ....
my life with horses ....
to become a better horse person
to give give good horse care to my horses
and to share what I know to all others who really love horses....
and who want to be a part of the change
the change in the standard
better horsemanship and good horse care.

with all my love for horses
